YouTube Video

CollegeSitter allows you to link to external sites such as MySpace, YouTube, personal Web site, etc. in case you'd like to include more information about yourself.

Creating a video posted on YouTube and linking it to your profile might be a good way to help get your profile noticed and provide more information about yourself to potential families interested in your services.

If you'd like to create a YouTube video, here are a few questions/suggestions to get you started:

(1) Tell parents a little about yourself.  Expand on your personal statement by describing your interests, hobbies, major, school experiences, etc.  (But remember, to protect your privacy, you don't have to include your name).

(2) Tell about some of your past babysitting experiences.  You might want to include information on past activities you've done with kids (arts and crafts, taking them to practice, picking them up, etc.).  You might also want to include why you like kids and want to babysit.

(3) Think of it like a potential job interview.  Imagine it as a pre-interview with parents.  This is your chance to give parents some more information about yourself and why they should entrust their kids to your care.
